I was in John Lewis last night and spotted this. It's really fantastic reminds me of my Aunty Mary's kitchen!
Have you ever seens Drusilla Cole's book "The Pattern Sourcebook: A Century of Surface Design"? It was really important to me when I was back at University as I was interested in the notion of domesticity (specifically in relation to responsibility and freedom) but I left it at a school somewhere on my travels. You know I might treat myself to a new copy!
The Designing Britain has some interesting stuff on design from this period on their website might be of interest to you: http://vads.ahds.ac.uk/learning/designingbritain/html/ffs.html
